YOU DECIDE
- Phil Collins
“I’m not a singer who plays a bit of drums. I’m a drummer who sings a bit.”
TRADITIONAL METHOD
Our traditional method is for students who like a clean and clear method book approach. Students will learn the fundamentals of drumming theory, and all that comes with reading traditional and contemporary music charts. This method will prepare students to play in an orchestral setting, or a recording setting. The method to read both charts is a similar path.
JAZZ | IMPROV
Jazz is a world of it's own. The path to learning jazz is a hybrid of learning fundamentals of drum theory, chart reading, and tools to improv. Students will begin with a fast tracked “traditional method” with the goal to be to advance on to Jazz songs at the student’s availability.
WORSHIP | POP
Our Worship and/or Pop track combines fundamentals from drum theory with contemporary sounds and feels. Students will embark on a journey that introduces them to the drum world and begin a relationship between them and the drum set. Once students have a basic handle on rhythms, rests, drum hardware, etc, they will begin down their chosen genre.

“When you approach this instrument for the first time, what comes out of you is simply what you feel.”
— Dennis Chambers, Drummer/Recording & Performing Artist
